As a State Senator from Howard County, Sandy Schrader was a prominent member of the Budget and Taxation Committee. During her tenure, she served on the Education, Health, and Environmental Affairs Committee, working with Democratic and Republican administrations. In her capacity as State Senator, Ms. Schrader was appointed to serve on Governor Ehrlich’s Quality Education Commission. In addition to the Commission, her duties included serving on the Environmental Restoration Task Force and the Electronics Recycling Work Group. Under Governor O’Malley, Ms. Schrader was appointed to serve on Maryland’s Commission for Women.
